Just a random wonderment and thought I had today came by as I stuck my fork in to eat a piece of orange.
As silly as this may all sound I started thinking why did I not use my hands and instead reached out to grab a fork? Arguably, one of the fundamental reasons as to why we've become 'high maintenance' in the making are tools such as this. 'Aids' if you will to provide convenience in a world that becomes more un-naturalistic as we grow. The fork for example, no longer allows our hands to get dirty, thus making us more 'high maintenance'. We simply jab and eat, we don't work around the food with our hands where it is now replaced by a metal/plastic barrier; this is convenient and a way of making us become more reliant on tools.
I have nothing against the fork and have mentioned all the benefits of this great creation. Though, it did make me think... one I have chosen to share. This is just one perspective that came to mind about the fork (lol) in a short space of time but I am sure there are many more out there.
